Alexandra Theatre - Birmingham Customers Reviews
Beautiful Theater - loved the show!
I had never been to Fox Theater before, and was not expecting such a beautiful venue! So much detail inside the theater. I was also so glad they had some food options available since the roads were terrible and we didn't have enough time to get food elsewhere. I had a slice of pizza and my husband had a hot dog. They were pricey, but expected for a theater, and not terribly overpriced. They also had a pretty full bar.
The show was wonderful! I had never seen Riverdance before, and enjoyed it so much. There was some confusion at intermission as to whether the show was over or it was just an intermission. An announcement would've helped.
We were also quite high up, and could see the stage, but I had some difficulty (since I'm short). The seats were comfortable enough. There are no cup holders for drinks.
The restroom lines do take quite awhile. There are an ok number of stalls, but only 2 sinks.
Overall I really enjoyed the experience!
Worth Waiting Two Years!
The production was wonderful, warm, friendly, just simply beautiful. Each and every dancer was amazing in their own right...I liked the way modern dance was brought in with great and very entertaining dancers....the back drop was AMAZING....the musicians were also amazing in their own right! Just an absolute delight! My suggestion for future, 1) have someone direct which line to be in, 2) once inside we were stuck in the lobby for 30 mins with lot's of elderly people (including myself) 3) Have an announcer or chime bells to notify the production begind in 15 mins, 4) announce Intermission, 5) the production company shouldn't have to request that Restrooms be well equipped with all the essentials 6) no PROGRAMS! were handed out. Didn't have any information regarding the dancers. Most of my criticism belongs with the Venu. Beautiful theater but not professionally run. Kahoonasgirl
